QUALCOMM's new developer lab
QUALCOMM has opened its first European developer lab - and Airsource is their first developer.

QUALCOMM opened its first ever BREW® Developer lab in October - conveniently for Airsource, they decided to put it in their Cambridge office. I visited on the 12th October, doing some development for a client, and was reliably informed that I was the first developer to use the lab.
The facilities consist of a CDMA network simulator, a few BREW phones available for developer use, and a computer with all the requisite software installed. Well, not quite. They haven't installed all the software yet, so if you want to compile anything, you'll need your own ARM licence - and laptop to run it on.
In my case, I took my desktop, and plugged it into their peripherals. This which worked fine, though I did wonder what sort of firewalling they have set up on their network. I've since been back for another session - and I'm still the only developer using it.
Come on people, there's a market out there!
